The resort also offers four tennis courts and an outdoor pool. Area waters offer swimming, surfing, and snorkeling. Tours and activities can be arranged at the check-in office. North of Punaluu is Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which is one of the world's most active volcanic areas. Sight-seers will also want to visit Akaka Falls, a tumbling waterfall with a 442-foot drop.

Sea Mountain is on Hwy 11 at mile marker 56. Best access is from the Hilo Airport. From Hwy 11 take the Ninole turn-off, drive 1/2 mile and the condominiums are on the right at 95-789 Ninole Loop Road. The Check-in Office is located across the street in Unit #60.
A vehicle is a necessity to reach and enjoy this location. Major shopping for groceries or other items is in Hilo (56 miles) or Kona (65 miles). Public transportation is not readily available.
